Video: Anderson Silva’s Surgeon Explains the Injury and Recovery Time for UFC 168 Broken Leg

In a new video, Anderson Silva’s surgeon describes the operation, as well as his estimated timetable for the former champ’s return to competition.

Dr. Steven Sanders states that Silva will most likely be able to fight again, and by the sound of it, that’s just the news “The Spider” wanted to here.

Silva of course broke his leg during his title fight rematch with Chris Weidman at UFC 168. A checked leg kick somehow cracked Silva’s left tibia and fibula nearly clean in half. He was rushed to emergency surgery, which apparently went very well considering he’s already on crutches.

So far, Silva has declined any interview requests, stating that he needs some time alone with his family. We at SciFighting.com wish him a speedy recovery.
