Contender Promotions Inks Deal to Bring Superkombat to the UK


Contender Promotions has just signed a deal to bring Superkombat to the UK for the first time!

The first event in this deal will be the Superkombat Worldwide Tryouts, which will be held in Middlesborough, England on April 5. Then, Contender and Superkombat will co-promote a “New Heroes” event that will be broadcasted in over 80 countries around the world.

“This is massive for Contender Promotions,” said Contender president Garry Bell. “Superkombat are moving at an alarming pace on the world stage as Contender Promotions grow from strength to strength in the UK, this deal just felt right.”

“I am over the moon to bring Superkombat to my home town,” he added. “I am also very passionate about giving local and UK based fighters the chance to shine on the world stage and become a fight star.”


Superkombat is one of Europe’s leading kickboxing leagues, with events broadcasted live to over 130 million households in 54 different countries. The organization was founded in 2011, and has so far put on 31 shows.
