If you ever want to see a grown man act like a teenage girl at a Justin Bieber concert, watch the video below. Georges St-Pierre met Hollywood titan Arnold Schwarzenegger backstage after his controversial victory over Johny Hendricks.
St-Pierre calls Schwarzenegger one of his inspirations. Schwarzenegger began his career as a bodybuilder and became a household name for his appearance in the documentary “Pumping Iron.” Schwarzenegger started in some of Hollywood’s biggest movies and then was elected governor of California.
Many of today’s professional athletes cite Schwarzenegger as a role model.
Schwarzenegger looks respectful to St-Pierre, but not exactly overwhelmed by GSP’s show of gratitude. He thanks GSP for the entertainment, before St-Pierre actually asks for a photo of himself next to the former governor of California.
St-Pierre tries to put the UFC strap on Schwarzenegger’s shoulder, but the star of the Terminator movies instead puts it in the middle so that the belt goes over both shoulders.
St-Pierre announced a temporary hiatus from the cage after his brutal fight with Hendricks. Although St-Pierre won, his face was battered and bloodied and he clearly appeared the defeated fighter at the end of the fight. St-Pierre ended up vacating his title. Hendricks will now fight Robbie Lawler next year for the UFC welterweight championship.
The moment appears at 7:05 of Dana White’s video blog wrapping up UFC 167 and leading up to this Saturday’s big card at UFC 168.
White’s video blog also includes some thrilling moments involving Robbie Lawler, Michael Bisping, Forrest Griffin and Hendricks.
