GLORY has booked two martial arts legends for their March card.
Mirko “Cro Cop” and Remy Bonjasky are reportedly set to duke it out at the promotion’s 14th event, currently scheduled for March 8 in Zagreb, Croatia.
Since returning to kickboxing last year, Cro Cop has strung together six wins in a row, including a K-1 Grand Prix championship. The kickboxing and MMA star has fought Bonjasky once before, at a 2002 K-1 show, winning by KO in the second round.
As a national celebrity in his home country of Croatia, Cro Cop will also be bringing the home field advantage into the bout.
Coincidentally, Bonjasky also attempted a comeback run last year, although he has gone 2-3 since his return. He last dropped a controversial decision to Anderson Braddock Silva at GLORY 13.
Despite this, Bonjasky is still an icon in the sport of kickboxing, and holds 77-18 record overall.
