UFC on FOX 9 brought in over $1 million dollars in live gate revenue for the MMA promotion.

UFC president Dana White revealed the news at the post-event press conference. He added that the show brought in 11,573 fans. MMAJunkie reports that the California State Athletic Commission will verify these numbers and release its own official tally sometime this week.

The event featured a flyweight title fight between Demetrious Johnson and Joseph Benavidez, which saw the current champ defend his title with a picture perfect knockout.

In the co-main event, Uriah Faber defeated Michael McDonald, advancing one step closer to a title shot.
