Despite her popularity taking a huge plunge since her appearance on The Ultimate Fighter, UFC Women’s Bantamweight Champion Ronda Rousey is still the overwhelming favorite to win in her upcoming bout against Miesha Tate.
According to 5thround.com, a majority of gamblers believe Tate will not have what it takes to dethrone “Rowdy”.
This won’t be the first time the two ladies duke it out in the cage. They fought once back in 2012 under the Strikeforce banner. The bout resulted in Rousey taking the belt by mutilating Tate’s arm via armbar.
Here are the odds from 5thround.com:
Underdog (+) Favorite (-)
Miesha Tate +600
Ronda Rousey -1000
Bet $100 on Tate and she’s victorious, you win $600
Bet $1,000 on Rousey and she’s victorious, you win $100
As you can see, Tate has a 6-1 longshot to usurp Rousey as the undisputed women’s bantamweight monarch. Rousey, on the other hand, is currently a 10-1 odds-on favorite.
UFC 168 will take place on December 28th at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada.
