Recent reports have indicated the Hacran Diaz has suffered an injury while training, and will no longer be able to participate in his scheduled bout against Tatsuya Kawajiri at UFC Fight Night 34. The UFC is currently searching for a replacement opponent.

UFC Fight Night 34 will take place on January 4 at Singapore’s Marina Bay Sands Expo and Convention Centre. The main event of the night features a fight between former Strikeforce champ Tarec Saffiedine and Hyun Gyu Lim.

Kawajiri (32-7-2) is currently riding a five-fight winning streak and hasn’t lost a bout since 2011 when he was TKO’d by Gilbert Melendez.

Dias (21-2-1) was riding a nine-fight winning streak until losing to Nik Lentz at UFC on FX 8 on May 18th earlier this year. His overall UFC record currently stands at 1-1.

As of yet, the UFC has not announced a replacement opponent to face off against Kawajiri.
