Former UFC flyweight contender John Moraga has been forced out of his UFC on FOX 9 bout with Darren Uyenoyama (8-4), and has been replaced by promotional newcomer Alp Ozkilic (8-1).

Moraga was looking to return from a submission loss to flyweight champion, Demetrious Johnson. His reason for pulling out is undisclosed.

Ozkilic will now step in riding in to the UFC on a three-fight winning streak.

Uyenoyama looks to rebound from a loss back in April at UFC on FOX: Henderson vs. Melendez, where he was TKO’d by Joseph Benavidez late in the second round.

UFC on FOX 9 will take place on December 14 at the Sleep Train Arena in Sacramento California. This bout is expected to take place on the preliminary card. The main event of the night will be a flyweight title fight between defending champion Demetrious Johnson and Joseph Benavidez, in a rematch of their 2012 flyweight tournament finals bout.
