Three bouts have been added to the UFC Fight Night 35 card for January 15. Ramsey Nijem is set to take on Justin Edwards, Trevor Smith looks to stop a losing streak against Brian Huston, and Adlan Amagov will try to duplicate his dominate previous outing as he takes on Jason High.
Lightweights Ramsey Nijem (7-4) and Justin Edwards (8-3) look to stave off losing streaks as they face off. Edwards will want to rebound from a TKO loss to Brandon Thatch earlier this year. Nijem has dropped his last two with his most recent outing placed a submission loss on his recored at the hands of James Vick.
Trevor Smith (10-4) returns to the Octagon to try and secure his first UFC victory, losing his first two bouts for the promotion. His opponent, Brian Huston (4-1) looks for the same accomplishment against Smith. Huston was submitted in the first round in his UFC debut against Derek Brunson. This fight takes place in the middleweight division.
Finally, a welterweight clash has been added to the card as Adlan Amagov (13-2-1) and Jason High (18-4) both return from impressive outings. High last defeated Anthony Lapsley in a dominant affair. Amagov returns from a blistering first round knockout of TJ Waldburger at UFC 166.
UFC Fight Night takes place on January 15 at the Arena at Gwinnett Center in Duluth, Georgia. The main event for the card is Luke Rockhold vs Costa Philippou in a pivotal middleweight bout.
