A rubber match between Pat Curran (19-5) and Daniel Straus (22-4) has been rumored to be the next featherweight title fight for Bellator MMA.
The two have split two bouts with Curran knocking Straus out back in 2009 and Straus getting a taste of revenge with a win over Curran at the planned Bellator 106 PPV (which eventually aired for free on Spike TV).
Bjorn Rebney revealed these plans to MMAJunkie following their most recent show in Bethlehem, PA last Friday. The planning for this bout is still in the infancy stage but is certainly an intriguing notion given its likelihood.
“I’m giving a lot of serious consideration to making Straus-Curran 3,” Rebney told the outlet.
This bout, if made official, will likely take place on the tenth season of Bellator MMA, who concluded its ninth at Bellator 109 on Nov. 22nd.
