Josh Koscheck, who fought on the original “The Ultimate Fighter,” steps into the cage for the 23rd time against former Strikeforce star Tyron Woodley.
Woodley looks like a bodybuilder inside the cage. Woodley rocked him a big right hand in the first 20 seconds of the fight and then tied him up. Woodley landed a big knee and Koscheck held on.
The two were backed up against the cage for awhile until referee Herb Dean stood them up. The two are trading huge punches.
Koscheck landed a big right hand that slowed Woodley down. Woodley counters with a huge right hand and pounced on him like a tiger. Woodley landed with nearly a dozen big punches on Koscheck, but Koscheck showed his veteran experience and tied Woodley up in his guard.
Koscheck is bleeding badly, but held him in a bear hug from his back. Referee Dean stood them up with about a minute left in the first round.
After the standup, Woodley landed a vicious right hand on Koscheck as he was coming in, followed by another right hand, and knocked Koscheck out, Mike Tyson-style.
The end came at 4:38 of the first round.
“(Josh) Koscheck is a stud,” Woodley said. “I knew we were going to steal the show.”
After the post-fight interview, the camera showed UFC middleweight champion Chris Weidman.
