The main event for Bellator 108 is a highly anticipated debut of the former UFC light-heavyweight champion, Quinton ‘Rampage’ Jackson who will fight fellow UFC cast-off Joey Beltran at a catchweight of 210-pounds.

The fight has been promised, by both men, to be a brutal affair. Both fighters are known for their chins and also for possessing some power in their strikes.

Catchweight: Quinton Jackson defeats Joey Beltran via Knockout (punches) at 4:59 of Round 1.

The main event started with two eager fighters looking to brawl. This turned in to Jackson stalking Beltran soon after, with both men landing clean shots. Beltran then initiated the clinch and held Jackson there for some time.

Jackson utilized leg kicks perhaps more than he has ever done in a fight, seemingly showing the healed knee he talked about leading up this bout.

When there was just ten seconds left in the first round, Jackson approached Beltran and landed two hard shots, both of which hurt Beltran and dropped him. Jackson followed up with a shot to Beltran as he attempted to get off his hands and knees. Beltran went face first in to the mat forcing a stoppage with just one second remaining in the round.
