Immediately following UFC Fight Night 32, UFC President Dana White told reporters that he offered Nick Diaz a fight, but Diaz’s manager replied that he was retired.
According to Diaz, there is no way White’s comments could possibly be true.
“I don’t have a manager right now so…,” he said confusingly.
“I don’t have a manager. I haven’t had a manager since my last fight. They should know that,” Diaz told FighterOnlyMag.com.
It seems we have a paradox on our hands: two seemingly contradictory things that are actually true. Either that or one of them is lying.
Diaz announced his retirement after losing to George St-Pierre in UFC 158 earlier this year. Since then, he said his return would require a hefty paycheck, one which White said he is unwilling to pay.
These recent comments by Diaz have obscured this situation even more. As of yet, White has yet to respond.
