Sergio Pettis may have lost his original UFC 167 opponent, but it didn’t take long for the UFC to find a replacement.
Sergio Pettis, brother of lightweight champion Anthony Pettis, was originally slated to make his UFC debut against Vaughan Lee. Lee was unfortunately injured in training though, leaving the bout up in the air.
Luckily, Will Campuzano has revealed on Twitter that he’s taken the fight, and will now face Pettis at UFC 167 on November 16.
Despite only being 20 years old, Sergio Pettis has already racked up a 9-0 record, including three submissions and three knockouts. He’s also the former RFA flyweight champion.
This will be Campuzano’s second stint in the UFC. Since dropping his first two UFC fights a few years ago, Campuzano has rallied together a five fight winning streak. He is curently 13-4 overall.
