In an impressive display of striking technique, utilizing a vicious left knee, Brandon Thatch completely broke the will of Paulo Thiago in just over two minutes of the first round.

As the fight began, neither fighter seemed shy to engage the other. Multiple striking combinations were thrown by both fighters until at about the one minute mark, Thiago took Thatch down but was unable to secure a dominant position. Thatch worked his way back to his feet, and the fight went his way from that moment on. The American beat his Brazilian opponent down with vicious knees from the muay thai clinch, dirty boxing, and hard body kicks. Eventually, he landed a crushing left knee to the thorax as Thiago was throwing a right hand. Thiago immediately crumpled to the floor and Thatch followed up with punches to the head of his downed opponent. Thiago began to tap and the ref stopped the fight to save him from further punishment

The fight ended at 2:10 of the first round by tap out via strikes.
