Jon Jones’ manager has provided some hints as to when the light heavyweight champ might return.

In an interview with MMAFighting.com, Jones’ manager Malki Kawa stated that the “best-case scenario” for his fighter would be a title defense against Glover Teixeira in March. However, he added that it would not be out of the question for Jones to take a bout at UFC 170 in February.

UFC 170 currently does not have a headliner, so that could work out well for the organization’s schedule.

Teixeira has not yet commented on whether or not that timing works for him though.

The two previously discussed a possible match up at UFC 169 on February 1 in Newark, New Jersey, but Jones ultimately decided he needed more time to recover.
