Standout Japanese featherweight Tatsuya Kawajiri is setting his sights high for his UFC debut.

The PRIDE and DREAM veteran was recently signed to the promotion, and has not yet been assigned a match up. On Twitter, Kawaijiri requested a bout with #4 ranked Cub Swanson, citing Swanson’s victory over Kawajiri’s friend Hiroyuki Takaya.

“I want to fight with @CubSwanson. He won the hiroyuki takaya in WEC. Takaya is my friend,” Kawajiri wrote.

Both Kawajiri and Cub Swanson are riding five fight winning streaks.

Kawajiri most recently dominated Michihiro Omigawa at DREAM 18, advancing his record to 37-7-2.

Swanson meanwhile is coming off of a TKO win over Dennis Siver at UFC 162. He is now 20-5, and 5-1 in his UFC career.
