Undefeated 33 year old light heavyweight  fighter Jimi Manuwa recently scored a 2nd round TKO victory over Ryan Jimmo at UFC Fight Night 30, making it his third consecutive finish in the UFC, and advancing his overall record to 14-0. Manuwa has never made it past the 2nd round in his entire MMA career; 13 of his wins have been achieved by some form of knockout, with only 1 having been acquired by submission.

That’s quite an impressive resume to say the least, which is why UFC President Dana White has finally decided to mix Manuwa in with the big boys. At the UFC Fight Night 30 post fight press conference, White said that he thinks Manuwa is ready to get some high profile fights:

“During the fight, I was texting with Joe Silva. I said, ‘It’s time to take this kid to the next level – get him over fighting in the United States and get him in a big fight with somebody.’ I don’t know who.”

For those of you who aren’t familiar with Jimi Manuwa, the man is an absolute wrecking machine. His striking is nothing less than vicious, and he does a great job of not getting taken down. His entertaining fighting style can definitely make him an instant star in the United States.

The question remains: who would be a great opponent for Manuwa to have his first high profile fight against?
