UFC veteran Melvin Guillard had recently stated that he “used to drop Diego Sanchez in practice all the time.” Apparently, Diego Sanchez isn’t too happy about that.
Sanchez responded to Guillard via Twitter on Wednesday, “why you trying to get attention by making up fake stories? Im not even gonna start with you OK.”
Guillard’s response indicated that it was all just a misunderstanding due to the media intentionally misconstruing his words, “man the media twisting my words bro don’t listen to that shit.”
Sanchez responded again, “Everybody @JacksonsMMA know the truth your full of s–t melv & never dropped me!”
Guillard has continued to maintain that his words were taken out of context, blaming the media and reporters for creating drama out of nothing. “the media twisting my words that’s why I hate giving interviews now I’m a fighter what you expect me to say that this guys would wipe my ass.”
Sanchez has recently expressed interest in fighting UFC lightweight Nate Diaz, but if this drama with Guillard continues to escalate, there’s a possibility he could turn his head in a different direction.
Aside from stressing over interviews and twitter ranting, perhaps Guillard should worry more about his upcoming fight against England’s Ross Pearson. Pearson is currently riding a two fight TKO winning streak and is looking to make Guillard his third knockout victory in a row.
