UFC president Dana revealed that a featherweight title fight between Ricardo Lamas and champion Jose Aldo could be scheduled for the promotion’s Super Bowl weekend show.
“We’re talking about that [bout] Super Bowl weekend, but it’s not done yet,” White said at a recent media event. “We’’re talking about it, but we talk about a lot of things.”
Lamas is currently the division’s #2 contender, and is coming off of a win against Erik Koch in January. He is currently undefeated in the UFC.
Aldo meanwhile defended his title for the fifth time against Chan Sung Jung at UFC 163 with a TKO victory.
