In a recent interview with Shonie Carter, Adam Brennan of SciFighting.com asked the retired UFC veteran his opinion on the Jones vs. Gustafsson rematch. Not to anyone’s surprise, the always outspoken Carter wasn’t shy with vocalizing his opinion.
“I really felt that I could see why concussions can affect judgement, but why did the judges think that Jones won? I understand Jones public opinion, but he knows deep down otherwise,” Carter said. “Gustafsson had definitely earned my vote on a rematch, he did what the previous 5 former UFC world champions couldn’t.”
Carter elaborated further by saying, “I wonder what the f–k the judges were thinking?”
Evidently, Carter disagrees with the judge’s decision.
Carter currently resides in Chicago, Illinois, and is said by some sources to have 198 professional fights on his professional MMA resume. He also holds a win over former UFC Welterweight Champion Matt Serra.
