MMA legend Fedor Emelianenko has never been a particularly outspoken fighter, and since his retirement, he’s seemingly drifted out of the North American spotlight.
He recently made an interview appearance on WHOA! TV though, where he spoke candidly about the reason he never made it to the UFC after Pride FC closed its doors.
“In my opinion, everything was in Dana White’s hands. Because at that moment, I just felt like ‘this guy, he just hates us.’ Like, personally to [me],” Emeliankenko said. “There were insults coming from Dana White all the time. There were many very loud things said, but for real nothing happened. It was [all talk].”
Emeliankenko retired a little over a year ago, and now manages the Russian MMA Union. You can view the rest of the interview, including his predictions on Cain Velasquez vs Junior Dos Santos, above.
