Josh Barnett made a huge UFC comeback in August, knocking out former heavyweight champion Frank Mir in the first round. Now he’s looking to continue that streak against Travis Browne in December, and he wants to make a big impression in the process.
“There is going to be at least 500 pounds in the ring,” Barnett said in an interview on AXS TV’s Inside MMA. “It’s a big opportunity for me. This guy is an up-and-coming young buck. He wants to prove his name, he wants to show that beating a guy like Alistair Overeem was not just a flash in the pan. He’s gonna look to make his name off of me, and I’m gonna look to just carve another headstone.”
Barnett and Browne will face off at UFC 168, which will take place on December 28 in Las Vegas, Nevada.
