UFC officials have confirmed a light heavyweight match up between Cody Donovan and promotional newcomer Robert Drysdale for UFC 167.
Drysdale will be entering the octagon for the first time on the strength of a six fight undefeated streak. All six of his wins have come by submission, and all of them were finished in the first five minutes.
This will be Donovan’s third fight in the UFC, and he’ll be looking to rebound after a loss to Ovince St. Preux in August. The loss snapped a four fight winning streak, including one bout in the UFC. He is currently 8-3 in his career.
UFC 167 will take place on November 16 at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada. It will be headlined by a bout between welterweight champion Georges St-Pierre and Johny Hendricks.
