A rematch between Roger Bowling and Abel Trujillo is set to take place, according to a Tuesday announcement on the company’s Twitter page. The two are set to meet at UFC on FOX 9 in December, with sights on settling the controversial no-contest from their UFC Fight Night 27 bout.
Their first fight ended without a winner after Trujillo accidentally landed an illegal knee strike to a grounded Bowling, who could not continue afterwards.
Bowling is currently 11-4, and previously dropped back to back losses to Anthony Njokuani and Tarec Saffiedine.
Trujillo meanwhile dropped a decision to Khabib Nurmagomedov in May, snapping a five fight-winning streak. He is now 10-5.
UFC on FOX 9 will take place on Dec. 14 at the Sleep Train Arena in Sacramento, Calif., and it will be headlined by a lightweight title fight between newly crowned champion Anthony Pettis and former Strikeforce champ Josh Thomson.
