The Ultimate Fighter 18 finale event has picked up a new featherweight match up. Maximo Blanco and Akira Corassani are set to face off at the November event, with both of them making their third appearances in the octagon.
Blanco’s manager announced the news this past weekend.
Blanco will be coming off of his first UFC win, defeating Sam Sicilia at The Ultimate Fighter 17 finale back in April. He is currently 1-1 in his UFC career, and 9-4-1 overall.
Corassani meanwhile is a TUF 14 alumni, and is undefeated as a professional in the octagon. He defeated Andy Ogle in his debut fight, then proceeded to pick up a second win against Robbie Peralta earlier this year. He is 11-3 in his MMA career.
The TUF 18 Finale will take place on November 30 at the Mandalay Bay Events Center in Las Vegas, Nevada. It will air live on FOX Sports 1, and will be headlined by a flyweight title fight between champion Demetrious Johnson and Joseph Benavidez.
The full card is as follows, not including the unannounced Ultimate Fighter finals.
• Demetrious Johnson vs. Joseph Benavidez
• Nate Diaz vs. Gray Maynard
• Walter Harris vs. Jared Rosholt
• Maximo Blanco vs. Akira Corassani
