Former WEC bantamweight champion Miguel Torres has a new personal vendetta. Torres’s father was robbed at gunpoint this past Friday evening, and that’s not something this Carlson Gracie black belt is willing to put up with.
Torres made a statement on Facebook at 9:37 PM on Friday, Sept 27:
“To whoever robbed my dad at gunpoint tonight while he was running at the track in the Harbor, if I find out who you are I’m going to beat the living f— out of you till I get pulled off. Anyone with information on who this perpetrator was, I’m offering a cash reward. No one f—s with my family.”
The 40-6, 13-year MMA veteran is not a man to be trifled with. For those with information about the incident, Torres did not indicate the value of the cash reward or how best to contact him, though it can be assumed that a message to his Facebook fan page would be a good place to start. Thieves beware, you never know who you may be messing with.
Torres is reportedly set to fight at World Series of Fighting 6 in October against a still unrevealed opponent.
