UFC women’s bantamweight champion Ronda Rousey and Miesha Tate are rivals in the octagon (and opposing coaches on TUF), and yet somehow, their feud always seems to come back to Brian Caraway.
Caraway is both Tate’s manager and boyfriend, and seems to be pretty high on Rousey’s “hate” list. It began with some inappropriate tweets from Caraway, and escalated into a war of words that has continued through the current season of The Ultimate Fighter, almost culminating in a fist fight on the third episode.
“I don’t understand why she’s so fascinated by my relationship with Bryan,” Tate wrote on her TUF blog. “I can’t think why she keeps saying such ridiculous things. Sometimes I think she’s jealous. From what I understand, she’s been single a while and doesn’t have the support system I have from Bryan and maybe there’s jealousy there. I think we have a bond and a type of relationship that maybe she wishes she had.”
Tate and Rousey will finally get to put words aside in favor of punches at the end of the year, when they meet in a rematch at UFC 168.
“I can’t believe what a brat Ronda is,” Tate added. “I can’t wait to punch her in the face come December 28.”
