Another bout has been added to the UFC’s year end show. Officials have confirmed that longtime UFC vets Dennis Siver and Manny Gamburyan have agreed to a featherweight match up set for UFC 168.
Dennis Siver recently lost to Cub Swanson at UFC 162, a bout for which the pair was awarded the “Fight of the Night” bonus. He has gone 2-1 since dropping down to featherweight, and ranks at #7 in the division. He is currently 10-6 in the UFC, and 21-9 overall.
This will be Manny Gamburyan’s 10th appearance in the UFC. He is coming off of back to back wins against Cole Miller and Michihiro Omigawa, although the Miller victory is being appealed. He has gone 5-3 in the UFC and WEC’s featherweight divisions, and holds a 13-7 record overall.
UFC 168 will take place on December 28 at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada. It will be headlined by a middleweight championship bout between Anderson Silva and Chris Weidman, with a women’s bantamweight title fight between Ronda Rousey and Miesha Tate as the co-main event. The event will air live on PPV.
The current card is as follows:
• Chris Weidman vs. Anderson Silva
• Ronda Rousey vs. Miesha Tate
• Josh Barnett vs. Travis Browne
• Diego Brandao vs. Dustin Poirier
• Uriah Hall vs. Chris Leben
• Michael Johnson vs. Gleison Tibau
• Manny Gamburyan vs. Dennis Siver
