Freddie Lux is not a huge name but his professional record of five wins and only two losses shows that he had a shot at a great career in MMA. That chance is now apparently over as several twitter feeds this morning offered his family condolences. One of those offering condolences was well-known camp, Jackson’s MMA. No other news about the event is currently available but we can say that this is a terrible loss for Lux’s remaining family members, his friends, and for the MMA community.
Freddie’s Twitter itself is littered with updates stating “I wish people showed their emotions more than they say them,” “time to train the pain away,” and ” I have no idea how many ways to say one thing.” While commenting on any of these statements in relation to his suicide is purely speculation, he had also acknowledged recently withdrawing from social media. Withdrawing from friends and family is often the first sign of a suicide risk.
Freddie was an all-state and honorable mention for track and field in Arizona. He also took fourth place in the javelin throw at the Junior Olympics, as well as running the 100-yard dash in the 12th fastest time in his state. He was obviously an incredible athlete and one that will surely be missed.
