Mauricio “Shogun” Rua vs James Te Huna has been set as the co-main event of UFC Fight Night 33. UFC officials have confirmed the match up for December event in Australia.
Both fighters are looking to get their careers back on track after recent high profile losses. Shogun was stopped by Chael Sonnen via a submission at UFC Fight Night 26, putting him on a two fight losing streak. He is currently 21-6, and is ranked #10 in the division.
Te Huna meanwhile was stopped by light heavyweight top contender Glover Teixeira, breaking a four fight winning streak. He is currently 16-6.
UFC Fight Night 33 will take place on December 7 at the Brisbane Entertainment Centre in Brisbane, Australia. It will be headlined by a heavyweight bout between Antonio Silva and Mark Hunt.
