Lucas Martins Resigns with UFC, May Fight Again in 2013

Brazilian fighter Lucas Martins has been resigned to the UFC after a 2-1 stint in the promotion.

His manager, Wade Hampel, confirmed to MMAjunkie.com that a multi-fight deal has been struck that will likely see Martins in the octagon once more in 2013.

Martins debuted as a lightweight against Edson Barboza, submitting to strikes in the opening round. He bounced back with a win against Jeremy Larsen, earning the “Fight of the Night” bonus in the process.

In his most recent outing, Martins dropped to bantamweight to defeat Ramiro Hernandez in just 70 seconds at UFC Fight Night 28. He is currently 14-1 in his MMA career.
