UFC officials have confirmed the previously rumored match up between Mark Hunt and Antonio Silva. The two are set to meet in a five-round bout headlining UFC Fight Night 32, which will mark the promotion’s return to Australia.
Hunt, an Australian local, will be looking to bounce back after a stunning KO loss to Junior dos Santos at UFC 160. He is currently 9-8, but holds a 4-2 record in the UFC.
Silva meanwhile had been riding a two fight winning streak before a defeat to champion Cain Velasquez at UFC 160. He is currently 18-5, and 2-2 in the UFC.
Silva is currently the #4 UFC heavyweight, while Hunt will be looking to regain a foothold in the division.
UFC Fight Night 32 will take place on December 7 at the Brisbane Entertainment Centre. It will air live on FOX Sports 1.
