It seems UFC lightweight Nate Diaz has had a bit of a change of heart. This past weekend, UFC officials announced that Diaz had verbally agreed to fight fellow TUF alumn Gray Maynard at The Ultimate Fighter 18 Finale in November.

Just yesterday though, Diaz sent out a bizarre tweet stating, “Nah F–k that I’m fightin Pettis.”

While the tweet is more than a little vague, that’s almost definitely not an official match up. Diaz is coming off of back to back losses, including a defeat at the hands of the former champion Benson Henderson. A championship match with Anthony Pettis seems entirely out of the question.

UFC officials have yet to comment on the statement, so as far as we know, the fight with Maynard is still on. If Diaz wants a crack at that title, he’ll need to defeat Maynard in November, then probably rack up at least one or two more wins.

Diaz is currently 16-9, and 11-7 in the UFC.
