A welterweight bout between Brian Ebersole and Rick “The Horror” Story has been officially set for UFC 167.
This will mark Ebersole’s first UFC outing in 2013. He last appeared at UFC 149, losing a split decision to James Head. Previously, Ebersole had been riding a four fight win streak, including victories over Chris Lytle and Dennis Hallman. A longtime MMA competitor, Ebersole has over 60 fights to his name, and holds a 50-15 record.
Rick Story has had a rough time over the past few years, going 2-2 since 2012. Prior to that though, he had picked up victories over former title contender Thiago “Pitbull” Alves and current #2 ranked welterweight Johny Hendricks. He is currently 15-7.
Both fighters are hungry to break into the top ten, making this bout particularly important for each of them.
UFC 167 will take place on November 16 at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada. It will be headlined by a welterweight title fight between Georges St. Pierre and Johny Hendricks. It will air live on PPV, with prelims on FOX Sports 1.
