Bellator: Joe Warren Out, Bellator 98!

It appears Bellator 98 has lost Joe Warrren due to medical concerns. Though there was no statement given as to what exactly this could be, between injuries or illness, Bellator’s CEO and chairman Bjorn Rebney stated “I’ve been fortunate to work with one of the best commissioners in the sport in Mike Mazzulli, and after carefully reviewing Joe’s medical documents, everyone agreed to err on the side of caution with the goal of ensuring our fighters safety. It was determined Joe would be unable to compete this Saturday at Mohegan Sun. Joe’s been with us since the beginning and as is the case with every fighter here, it’s incumbent on me to ensure Joe is 100% healthy and medically cleared to fight before he steps into the Bellator cage.”

This is a real shame, Joe Warren has always been something of a golden boy for Bellator, and any card he is pulled from is sure to suffer. Nick Kirk, Joe Warrens anticipated opponent, has also been removed from the fight card. Taking these men’s place will be a bout between lightweights Patricky Pitbull and Derek Anderson.

Wow! Talk about a card that disappears after the first few fights! I’m scratching my head and asking who? This is the promotion the UFC is so scared about? I don’t get it.
