The UFC just wrapped up their 3rd event in 8 days, but that hasn’t stopped them from announcing new fights to look forward to. Promotional officials announced this afternoon that Rafael “Feijao” Cavalcante and Igor Pokrajac will meet in a light heavyweight matchup at UFC Fight Night 32 in Brazil.
Cavalcante is a former Strikeforce light heavyweight champion, but a knockout loss to Thiago Silva back in June spoiled his debut. He possesses tremendous striking power, having earned a knockout in each of his professional victories. He will look to get his career back on track against Igor Pokrajac. The Croatian is currently in the midst of a three fight skid, although a decision loss to Joey Beltran last year has since been overturned due to his opponent’s failed post-fight drug test. A loss here would likely spell an end to his time with the promotion, so we can expect Pokrajac to come out looking for the finish. Each man has won the majority of their fights by knockout, so this should make for an exciting bout.
UFC Fight Night 32 will air live from Brazil on November 9, 2013, headlined by an anticipated rematch between Dan Henderson and Vitor Belfort. We will be sure to update you with further additions to the card.
