Dana White appeared on a CBS radio affiliate yesterday morning, and unfortunately the news regarding heavyweight Stefan Struve wasn’t positive. White sat down with Chad Dukes of the fan, and relayed his take on Struve’s recent diagnosis:
“Yea, what he has is a serious condition, you know, and I honestly don’t think he ever will (fight). He’s got a rip in his heart, and you know, it’s one of those freak things that happen to people, and I love the kid. The kid’s got, no pun intended, but he’s got unbelievable heart. He’s tough as nails. He’s the nicest guy in the world, and we’re going to do everything in our power to help him through this thing.”
It sounds like he has the full support of the UFC behind him, and we hope that White’s diagnosis is proven incorrect. Struve goes and to put on a performance each time he steps foot in the octagon, and his career has never quite risen to what his potential should allow. We here at SciFighting will keep you up to date on any further developments.
