Daniel Sarafian will finally have his chance at Cezar “Mutante” Ferreira at UFC Fight Night 32. The two were originally set to battle it out as part of The Ultimate Fighter: Brazil finale, but an elbow injury forced Sarafian to withdraw before the event.
Semifinalist Segio Moraes replaced him, losing by decision to Ferreira. Now, the match that many Brazilian fans consider to be the true TUF championship has been set for November’s Fight Night event.
After recovering from his injury, Sarafian made his UFC debut against C.B. Dollaway, losing by split decision in what was named the Fight of the Night. He bounced back a few months later against Eddie Mendez, submitting him with an arm triangle choke in the first round. He is currently 1-1 in the UFC, and 8-3 overall.
Ferreira’s professional UFC debut came during the aforementioned TUF finals. He then picked up a second win against Thiago Santos via a guillotine choke at UFC 163. He is currently 2-0 in the UFC, with a 8-3 record overall. Ferreira trains under Vitor Belfort, and will share a card with his mentor for the first time.
UFC Fight Night 32 will take place on November 9 at the Goiania Arena in Goiania, Goias, Brazil, and will air live on FOX Sports 1. It will be headlined by a rematch between Vitor Belfort and Dan Henderson.
