UFC Fight Night 28 Extended to a 5 Hour Event with 10 Live Fights


UFC and FOX have decided to move the Fight Night 28 preliminary bouts, previously scheduled to air on FOX Sports 2, onto the main program on FOX Sports 1. This will extend the event to a whopping five hours spread over 10 live fights, all leading into the premiere episode of The Ultimate Fighter 18. Dana White also indicated during last night’s post-fight press conference that all future events on Fox Sports 1 will maintain this same format.

UFC Fight Night 28 will be headlined by a bout between Glover Teixeira and Ryan Bader. It will take place on Wednesday, September 4 at the Mineirinho Arena in Brazil.

  • Yushin Okami vs. Ronaldo Souza
  • Joseph Benavidez vs. Jussier Formiga
  • Piotr Hallmann vs. Francisco Trinaldo
