Jason “Mayhem” Miller was arrested again on Sunday morning in Orange County, CA, his second arrest in as many years. While MMAMania.com initially reported that the incident was burglary related, it has since been revealed that “Mayhem” is being charged with domestic violence. Family members posted his bail early Monday morning, and he awaits his next hearing.
The arrest comes nearly a year to the day after his previous brush with the law, a bizarre incident in which he vandalized a church in Mission Viejo, California. Police were called after Miller broke several items and sprayed a fire extinguisher within the building, and they found him semi-clothed on an upstairs couch. Miller has since claimed the situation was a misunderstanding, and his charges were dropped at the request of his pastor.
As of late, Miller has continued his war of words against his former boss, Dana White, claiming that the UFC reneged on their contractual agreement to pay for knee surgery after he was released from the promotion. His recent arrest follows a bizarre string of public appearances, including an unsettling interview with Fox Sports in which he brandished a knife.
Miller has hinted at a possible return to the sport, but we hope he is first able to get his personal life under control. We will be bringing you updates on this story as we receive additional information.
