The upcoming TUF season between rival coaches Miesha Tate and Ronda Rousey is shaping up to be the biggest war of words we’ve seen since Ken Shamrock and Tito Ortiz. Rousey has been on a warpath recently, calling Tate a “weak, suggestible and malleable person,” and labeling her boyfriend and manager Bryan Caraway a “douchebag.”
Tate isn’t about to take this one lying down though, and she’s fired back with a few choice phrases of her own on the most recent edition of UFC Tonight:
“I just think Ronda’s so crazy, you guys will see when the show [TUF 18] comes out, that I assume she can’t keep a man around for any period of time so I would imagine she’s probably pretty jealous that both Bryan and I are successful fighting in the UFC and going on 7 years, so she can’t keep him out of her mouth.”
Considering just how vitriolic some of Rousey’s comments have gotten, Tate’s insinuations actually seem rather tame. Still, it’s obvious there’s a lot of bad blood brewing between the two women, which is sure to result in one hell of a showdown.
Tate and Rousey will meet on December 28 in the co-main event of UFC 168.
