In the aftermath of UFC 163, Jose Aldo’s foot injury has been the center of attention. Due to the severity of the fracture, Aldo has been given a 90 suspension with 60 days of no contract. However, he wasn’t the only fighter to receive mandatory time off.

His opponent, Chan Sung Jung, is currently nursing a shoulder dislocation that ended the fight in the fourth round. He may be out for even longer than Aldo, with a 180 day suspension, or until he’s cleared by a doctor. He will require an MRI.

The co-main event saw two more extended medical suspensions, with victor Phil Davis receiving six months pending an X-ray of his right foot and a doctor’s clearance. Lyoto Machida meanwhile will receive a 30 day suspension with 21 days of no contract. No particular injury was cited for Machida’s suspension.

Among other potential injuries of the night, Amanda Nunes will require an X-ray of her ribs, while Ian McCall will need one for his right hand.

The medical suspensions were released via the Brazilian MMA Athletic Commission. You can read the full list below.
