Former M-1 Light Heavyweight Champion Vinny Magalhaes made his first professional appearance in his native Brazil, taking on 41 year old veteran Anthony Perosh. As the fighters met in the center of the octagon Magalhaes was tagged with a stiff right hand in the very first exchange of the fight. He failed to find an arm as he attempted to pull guard, and Perosh followed him to the ground to finish the fight with a flurry of hammer fists. It’s a flash victory for the man they call “The Hippo,” as he ended the contest only 14 seconds into the first round. The 41-year old underdog moves to 4-4 in his UFC career.
Winner: Anthony Perosh, 1st Round Knockout
