Everyone has their picks as to who they think the best fighters of all time are. We’ve witnessed some amazing athletes through the entirety of mixed martial arts. Anderson Silva, Chuck Liddell, Fedor Emeliananko, all great fighters in their own right. Jose Aldo defends his featherweight scrap against “The Korean Zombie” Chan Sung Jung at UFC 163. When it comes to Aldo’s thoughts on who the best fighters of all time are. He’s not shy on adding his name to the list of greats.

He discussed his favorites with Esporte:

“Man, I think we all have a list. The number one for me is Fedor Emelianenko. I’m a big fan, the guy is so amazing.”

“In second I put Royce (Gracie), then Chuck Liddell, Anderson Silva, and then there’s me.”

Aldo definitely has a chance to become an all-time great. He’s 22-1 and has looked great during his time in the UFC and WEC. He’s still has plenty of miles left in his career. If he continues to go down the road he’s going, there would be no doubt that he’s one of the best.

First things first, he has to continue to defeat all comers and challenges inside the featherweight division. If he’s able to make a move up to lightweight, that would greatly help his chances at claiming the greatest of all time title.
