Why Do Mixed Martial Arts Websites Still Talk About Brock Lesnar?

Ive noticed this a lot lately with certain mixed martial arts websites. Headlines that state: Brock Lesnar destroys C.M. Punk or Brock Lesnar spends 500.00 at a restaurant with his wife Sable. I get that Brock was a former UFC heavyweight champion and he earned our respect when he was in the cage. He faced some of the best fighters in the world. Fighters like Randy Couture, Cain Velasquez, and Alistair Overeem, but his fighting career has been over for quite some time. Yet, we still have to bring his name up in the headlines.

Brock Lesnar is an amazing athlete and coming back from two bouts with diverticulitis is something I would never want to go through. The man is definitely tough by all means and I’m not trying to disparage his name or his legacy. The only issue is that he’s back with the WWE, and if these mixed martial arts websites were also WWE media sites. Then it would make perfect sense, but it doesn’t.

Let Brock Lesnar continue to entertain all of the professional wrestling fans and continue to make a hefty income. There’s nothing wrong with that at all. If anything, it teaches you that the best thing you need to brand in life, is yourself. Brock will always be a hot commodity in anything that he does.

There’s just no reason for him to continue to hog up the spot light in the mixed martial arts community. He’s created some great memories and images for fight fans during his time in the UFC, but now that he’s gone his separate way with the community, maybe now it’s time for us to do the same as well.
