Looks like two of the best middleweights in the world will collide in the UK. Michael Bisping and Mark Munoz look to ascend up the middleweight ladder and make their way towards a title shot against perhaps the winner of Chris Weidman and Anderson Silva 2.
Michael Bisping defeated Alan Belcher back at UFC 159 and will be looking finally getting a title shot inside the octagon if victorious. Michael has been close on a number of occasions but was never able to defeat a top contender to earn him that coveted title shot.
Mark Munoz bounced back from a loss to Chris Weidman by defeating always tough Tim Boetsch. Both were on the verge of being in the top 5 of the middleweight division but losses halted some of their momentum. This past year has been a rough one for the man known as the Filipino wrecking machine. His well known depression after his loss to Weidman was evident as he weighed up to 266 lbs. He was able to overcome that defeat and at UFC 162 easily handled Tim Boetsch his second straight defeat.
The UFC hasn’t been to Manchester in over four years and they’re bring their golden child back to headline. Look for this card to end up being on UFC on Fox Sports 1 and not be on pay-per-view.
Who takes this bout of top middleweights? Will Mark Munoz be able to wrestle his way to victory or will Bisping’s footwork prove too much?
