It recently came out of the media that Georges St. Pierre is looking to have himself and Johny Hendricks both take VADA testing to help improve the sport of mixed martial arts as a whole. To show the mixed martial arts community that you don’t have to cheat to work your way up to the top. Looks like Hendricks is all in with the idea and the only thing you’ll find in his system is wild hog and deer meat.
“Heck ya!” Hendricks told UFC Central Radio on Sportsnet 590 The Fan “The worst thing that they’re going to find is a little bit of protein in my diet,” he continued. “If eating wild hogs and organic deer meat and a little bit of glutamine is bad for the ol’ system, then I might fail.”
Johny Hendricks is the number one contender to St. Pierre’s throne. Many fans and media believe that he can be the man to defeat GSP and take over as the welterweight king. He’s got the hand power and some of the best wrestling in the 170 lb division. It’s a great scrap and one that will test the limit of both competitors.
With them doing VADA testing, it will help show that at least that the two best welterweights in the world are clean and are doing it right. Sadly, we can’t say that for every fighter but hopefully with Dana White and Co. looking to do their best. The sport will eventually be clean of all PEDs and steroids.
