Max Holloway is one of the youngest fighters in the UFC. He’s replacing Andy Ogle and will be facing off against red-hot Conor McGregor. McGregor looked phenomenal in his debut back at UFC on Fuel TV 9 in Sweden, defeating Marcus Brimage by TKO and earning a knockout of the night bonus as well.
Max Holloway recently lost by split decision to Dennis Bermudez at UFC 160 in a bout that most fans and media believed he actually won. You never leave it in the judge’s hands and we unfortunately found out the hard way.
This bout will be part of the preliminary portion of the card but don’t be surprised if this fight ends up being fight of the night or a knockout of the night type performance. Both fighters bring it every time in the octagon and should prove to provided an awesome fight for the fans.
Conor McGregor is looking to continue to build the momentum that he’s built from his first fight in the octagon and want to work his was way up the UFC ladder and eventually get a shot at the featherweight championship.
Max Holloway is an up-and-comer and could end up finding his way up to title shot in the future. A win for him is detrimental in making that a reality. Both are young and can rebound from a loss but losing is not an option for either fighter.
Who do you think will take this fight? Two hungry young featherweight willing to scrap. Should be a good one!
