Mark Munoz Tried To Dismantle Tim Boetsch At UFC 162

Mark Munoz recently defeated Tim Boetcsh at UFC 162. This past year has been nothing but turmoil for the man known as The Filipino Wrecking Machine. Mark Munoz is looking at making his way back up the UFC’s middleweight ladder and perhaps a rematch with new UFC champion Chris Weidman.

Mark Munoz was looking to make a statement against Tim Boetcsh and he did so in convincing fashion. He discussed his plans to MMA Junkie:

“I was trying to dismantle his body,” Munoz said. “I hit him in the leg, I hit him in the hip. Even his butt. By hitting those parts of the body, when he stands up on his feet, it’s not going to be the same. I even tried to hammerfist the side of his head to get him dizzy at the same time. But it’s just a testament to who he is. He’s tough. I knew it was going to be a tough fight and he was just going to keep coming.”

Mark Munoz’s wrestling and “donkey punches” were the biggest factor throughout the fight. Tim was able to take the first round but unfortunately it was all Mark Munoz from there.

Will Mark Munoz be able to earn the title shot that he so greatly wants? There’s plenty of opportunities for the Filipino wrecking machine and maybe in time we may end up seeing him compete for the UFC title.

It’s only a matter of time before we see Mark Munoz make his way back to contender’s bout.
